PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Role: 3D Generalist / Technical Assistant | Contractor
- Core Stack: Houdini (Solaris/Karma), Nuke, Editorial Basics
- Main Focus: Compositing Data Prep, Technical Rendering, Basic Compositing, Review Media Management
This project was a crime drama streaming series, where I provided hands-on technical support across several episodes.
My responsibilities focused on core production asset preparation and file management. I set up and rendered basic 3D passes,
handled simple compositing tasks in Nuke for straightforward shots, and prepared clean, organized project files for the senior compositing team.
I was also responsible for formatting and exporting the daily review media to ensure consistent delivery standards.
MY TASKS

Compositing Data Preparation:
I assisted the compositing workflow by organizing incoming assets, separating technical render layers, and setting up project files.
This allowed the senior compositors to work with clean templates without spending time on basic file management. -
Technical Rendering & Basic Comps:
For a handful of shots, I managed the basic rendering of CG elements using Karma.
When the shots were straightforward, I also handled the initial compositing inside Nuke, integrating simple elements into the footage. -
Review Media Management:
I took charge of the export, color-space verification, and packaging of daily playblasts and review cuts.
I ensured that all review materials adhered strictly to the requested delivery formats and naming conventions before internal evaluations.
